AI images
AI can make a new product picture, or improve one you already have — clean up the light, remove or replace the background, or make a variation. Each picture costs credits; the button shows how many.
Making a new picture
From a product form: Generate image in the picture gallery, or AI assist → Generate a picture. Type the product name first.
- Pick the picture type: Product shot, Lifestyle, Banner or Social post.
- Describe what to add or show, and optionally the background or setting. For a banner you can add text to put on it.
- Choose a Style (Studio, Natural light, Minimal, Vibrant), a Shape (Square, Portrait, Wide, Tall) and 1 picture or 2 pictures. Two pictures cost twice as much.
- Press Generate picture.
- Press Add to product gallery for the ones you want — tick Make it the main picture if it should lead. Then save the product.
Editing a picture you have
- Edit with AI in a product’s gallery (or AI assist → Edit a gallery picture) lets you choose the picture and the edit.
- Enhance and Remove background also appear when you hover over a product picture, a category picture, a brand logo, or a file in the Media Library.
The edits:

Compare before you keep
The result shows Before and After with a slider you drag across the picture. AI redraws the whole picture, so small print — labels, logos, text on the pack — can change. Check it, then tick I compared it with the original. The buttons to keep the picture only work once that box is ticked.
Then press Add to product gallery (or Use this picture when replacing a category picture or brand logo) and save the item.
Where AI pictures are kept
Every AI picture is saved to your Media Library automatically, the moment it is made, in a folder called AI Images. You find it under Sidebar → Content → Media Library.
To use a different folder, press Change next to Saved to Media › AI Images in the picture tool, then pick a folder or create a new one. This applies to every AI picture from then on; pictures already made stay where they are. Back to AI Images switches back.
Under each result:
- Download saves the full-size file to your computer.
- Delete moves it to the media recycle bin. Products already using it keep it.
If a picture could not be saved to the library, it says so and offers Save now. If your role cannot use the Media Library, pictures are kept for 24 hours only — download the ones you want.
Tips
- Start from a good photo. Enhance and background edits work far better on a sharp, well-lit picture of the real product.
- Always compare. Check the label, the colour and the shape match the real product — customers will hold you to the picture.
- Use Remove background for the main picture, and Lifestyle pictures further down the gallery.
Common problems
“Add to product gallery is greyed out.” Tick I compared it with the original first.
“I made a picture but cannot find it.” Look in Media Library → AI Images, or the folder you chose with Change.
“I added the picture but it is not on the product.” Save the product.
